We are seeking Full-Time or Part-Time Client Service Managers

Hodges & Hergenrader, LLP (H&H) is different from the typical accounting firms you may be used to working with. We serve our clients from the Capital to the Coast with offices located in Raleigh and Wilmington, NC.

Our vision starts by delivering financials monthly or quarterly along with advice to manage the client’s business more effectively and hopefully guide them to a more profitable business. Our goal is to work closely with our clients to be able to deliver tax returns timely and with ease. Since the work has been done throughout the year already, clients are informed and prepared for their tax situation because we can guide them with effective information.

Our primary client base is small closely held businesses and their owners along with high net worth individuals who are eager to have another team member who can give strategic advice that can propel them forward. We are a trusted advisor for our clients.

Primary Responsibilitiess:

H&H strives to provide a full-service, cloud-based solution for our small to medium-sized business clients.

  • You will work with the firm’s clients in an outsourced accountant role using technology
  • You will code client transactions and reconcile client accounts in Quickbooks® Online and Desktop
  • You will assist clients with Quickbooks® Online
  • You will use ADP to prepare and process client payroll and W-2s
  • You will use tax1099 to process 1099s
  • You will prepare and process sales tax returns
  • You will develop a trusted advisor relationship with assigned clients
  • • You will work as part of a team serving clients giving ongoing advice, insight, and support as needed

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • You will prepare federal and state income tax returns for businesses, individuals, and trusts
  • You will work with OCR software to streamline individual tax preparation

Necessary Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to interact proactively with client personnel and facilitate open working relationships and service skills
  • Builds new and existing client relationships and demonstrates basic knowledge of client’s businesses
  • Understands firm ethics and demonstrates them consistently

Summary of Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related program
  • 1 or more years in private or public accounting
  • Strong technology skills using Quickbooks® Online and Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, and Excel at a minimum)
  • Computer proficiency in Creative Solutions Accounting products including UltraTax and Fixed Assets, Quickbooks®, and Checkpoint/RIA research software is a plus
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and work alone with minimal supervision
  • Experience in a paperless environment is preferred
  • Must possess the ability to work as part of a team

Hodges & Hergenrader, LLP team members can enjoy remote, hybrid, or in-office work environments. We offer the ability to work part-time or full-time.
